Illinois State Parks

The Illinois Conservation Foundation provides dedicated financial resources to the maintenance and improvement of our beautiful Illinois State Parks.

Current projects include:

  • Restoration of the Eternal Indian statue at Lowden State Park in Oregon, IL. Successful fundraising was completed for the $300,000 restoration of what is commonly known as the Black Hawk statue.
  • Construction of a handicapped accessible fishing pier at William Powers State Park. We were awarded a grant of more than $150,000 for this project.
